Overview

The United States is a federal republic of 50 states that offers students a great deal of diversity in education, rich research facilities, and personal growth. More than 3000 schools and universities are located in the US, offering a great variety of globally recognized courses, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Students can participate in elective activities that are helpful in personal development.

Most US universities provide scholarship opportunities based on academic merit. The IT scholarship aims to reward brilliant learners and exemplary performers. There are also professional trainings such as OPT, Optional Practical Training, where students get a chance to work fulltime for one year in a related field to gain practical knowledge and get financial strength. Further, upon completion of OTP students can work as permanent employees through the sponsorship of an H1 Visa.

The USA is also a destination for many international students because it offers diversified culture and religions to learn from. The academic requirements for undergraduate programs are completion of 12 years of full-time study, good grades in every subject, and good GPA. For post graduate programs, a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant program is required, with good grades in overall subjects and good GPA. Proof of good English language skills through recognized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, or SAT is required for both programs.

Basically, the USA has three major intakes for study programs, with the specific intakes depending on the course and university chosen. A student has to apply before the deadlines to prepare in advance for the visa processing time.
