TOEFL

Overview

The Test of English as a Foreign Language, TOEFL, was designed in 1962 AD as a standardized test to measure the English Language ability for non native English speakers. The TOEFL test examines the individuals from four test sessions: Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. TOEFL is regarded as one of the most popular English assessment tests for individuals looking to study abroad in English-speaking Countries.

There are two types of Tests: TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Essentials. TOEFL iBT is the more common format that evaluates all four language skills through integrated and independent tests, while TOEFL Essentials has been designed for a fast and reliable assessment of English language proficiency. It may be called a shorter and adaptive version of TOEFL iBT.
