GMAT

Overview

The Graduate Management Admission Test, commonly referred to as GMAT, is a computer-adaptive, standardized test for admission to business schools and management programs globally. The GMAT is an important part of the application process for an MBA, Master of Finance, Master of Accounting, and other graduate business programs. It measures a candidate’s analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills, which are important for success in a business or management related graduate program.

The GMAT is designed to provide business schools with a standard yardstick against which applicants from highly diverse academic and professional backgrounds may be evaluated. It tests the abilities of a candidate in problem-solving, critical thinking, data interpretation, and communication to assess whether the applicant can withstand the rigors in the demanding curricula at schools of business.

Over 7,000 programs at more than 2,300 schools globally accept the GMAT test scores. The scores are valid for 5 years, so candidates can utilize their scores anytime as part of their applications.
